CGI Montre9al is seeking a Solutions Architect who will serve as a strategic partner to both business and technology teams. You will be responsible for designing and evolving solutions that align with business objectives, technology strategies, and architectural best practices. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will help define high-performing, secure, and scalable architectures while influencing technology directions that support growth, innovation, and the digital transformation of CGI and its clients.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Analyze business needs and functional/non-functional requirements to design solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
• Define and evolve solution architectures (business, application, information, technology, and cloud) as well as associated roadmaps.
• Evaluate technology options, recommend appropriate solutions, and conduct required feasibility analyses.
• Design modern architectures that securely, responsibly, and scalably integrate artificial intelligence capabilities, data platforms, and cloud services.
• Identify and assess opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence to accelerate value creation, optimize business processes, and enhance customer experience.
• Contribute to modernization, integration, migration, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
• Ensure solutions align with architectural principles, technology standards, security requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Act as a trusted advisor and mentor to multidisciplinary teams while promoting architecture, development, and operational best practices.
• Participate in technology governance, risk management, and architecture review activities.
• Support project delivery by contributing to planning, effort estimation, and the continuous improvement of DevOps and operational practices.
• Leverage generative AI and AI agents to accelerate analysis, modeling, documentation, and the development of architectural recommendations.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in information technology, including significant experience in solution architecture within complex environments
• Proven experience in solution architecture, software architecture, cloud architecture, or a similar role
• Experience designing and implementing complex systems in multidisciplinary environments
• Experience supporting digital transformation and organizational change initiatives
• Strong leadership and ability to influence both business and technology stakeholders
• Excellent analytical, synthesis, and complex problem-solving skills
• Strong focus on business value creation and results
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Collaborative mindset, autonomy, and ability to thrive in complex environments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and support strategic decision-making

Technical Expertise
• Strong mastery of solution architecture, application architecture, and enterprise architecture principles.
• Knowledge of distributed architectures, APIs, microservices, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), and modern system integration platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or equivalent), DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity, governance, data protection, and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of modern data architectures and challenges related to artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.
• Knowledge of modern application environments (web, mobile, and transactional systems).
• Experience with architecture modeling and documentation tools.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Enterprise Architecture or Cloud Architecture certifications (TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect, or equivalent).
• Experience with system modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with digital platforms, CRM systems, e-commerce solutions, or content management systems.
• Knowledge of FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization.
• Good understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and solution architectures based on Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and ArchiMate.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 80 000$ et 155 000$. This position is a future opportunity.
