Position Summary
The Solutions Architect, AI/Automation is a strategic technology leadership role that works closely with and under the leadership of the GVP of Security and Technology Services and GM of Rimini Protect to help define and execute Rimini Street's AI-driven security architecture strategy across Threat Intelligence, Threat Research, Managed Security Services, Incident Response, Security Product Delivery, and Security Operations.
Working in close partnership with the GVP of Security and Technology Services and GM of Rimini Protect, this architect will be responsible for designing and implementing next-generation AI-powered security capabilities that transform traditional security operations into intelligent, automated, and increasingly autonomous services. The role combines deep expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models (LLMs), agentic AI frameworks, and automation engineering to automate cybersecurity implementation and managed security service delivery.
Under this leadership direction, the successful candidate will establish and lead the architecture for AI-driven threat intelligence platforms, autonomous threat research capabilities, security copilots, intelligent security assistants, AI-powered managed services, and security orchestration solutions that improve analyst productivity, accelerate investigations, reduce operational costs, and improve client security outcomes.
This role serves as a senior technical authority for AI-enabled security innovation, operating in close alignment with the GVP of Security and Technology Services and GM of Rimini Protect, and partners closely with Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Product Engineering, Product Services, Managed Services, Sales, and executive leadership teams to drive measurable improvements in security effectiveness, service quality, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead AI-Powered Security Transformation
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for AI-driven security services, threat intelligence, and threat research capabilities working with the GVP of Security and Technology Services
- Develop the architecture for AI-powered security operations across detection, response, investigation, remediation, and reporting workflows.
- Partner across Security Operations, Product Engineering, Product Services, Service Delivery, and Executive Leadership to drive adoption of AI-enabled security services.
- Define governance, standards, and operating frameworks for enterprise AI security capabilities.
Build Autonomous Threat Intelligence & Threat Research Platforms
- Design AI-powered threat intelligence systems capable of collecting, correlating, enriching, and analyzing intelligence from internal, commercial, open-source, and dark-web sources.
- Develop autonomous threat research agents that identify emerging threats, adversary campaigns, vulnerabilities, exploit activity, malware trends, and indicators of compromise.
- Create AI-assisted vulnerability intelligence capabilities supporting rapid analysis of CVEs, zero-day vulnerabilities, threat advisories, and vendor security bulletins.
- Design institutional knowledge platforms that continuously capture, organize, and enhance security intelligence and research findings.
- Establish intelligence scoring, confidence models, and AI-assisted risk prioritization frameworks.
Architect Agentic AI & Security Automation Solutions
- Design and deploy AI-powered security assistants, analyst copilots, investigative agents, and autonomous security workflows.
- Develop agentic architectures that automate threat triage, enrichment, investigation, correlation, reporting, and response recommendations.
- Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and enterprise security knowledge systems.
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled decision support systems for analysts, threat hunters, and incident responders.
- Advance autonomous security operations through intelligent orchestration and workflow automation.
Lead AI Platform Architecture & Model Operations
- Establish AI architecture standards for security-focused automation and intelligence platforms.
- Evaluate, benchmark, and govern large language models (LLMs), small language models (SLMs), embeddings, and agentic AI frameworks.
- Develop model evaluation frameworks that measure accuracy, reliability, security, explainability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Implement model lifecycle management, monitoring, observability, testing, rollback, and governance processes.
- Define strategies for cloud-based and air-gapped AI deployments supporting enterprise clients with varying regulatory and security requirements.
- Establish responsible AI controls and governance practices.
Transform Managed Security Services
- Redefine managed security services through AI-enabled automation and intelligent workflows.
- Design solutions that automate threat detection, alert analysis, investigation, reporting, compliance monitoring, and client communications.
- Build reusable automation and orchestration frameworks that can scale globally across service delivery teams.
- Improve service efficiency, response times, operational consistency, and client outcomes through AI-driven service delivery.
- Drive measurable reductions in manual effort and operational overhead while increasing service quality.
Security Product Architecture & Innovation
- Provide architectural leadership for automating and streamlining implementation and management of Rimini Street security products and services.
- Partner with Product Engineering and Product Services teams to create AI-enabled security offerings.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve product capabilities through AI and automation.
- Contribute to product roadmaps, innovation initiatives, and strategic technology investments.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical discipline required.
Location and Travel
- Remote – United States
- Up to 25% travel for client engagements, conferences, strategic planning, and team collaboration.
Experience
- 10+ years of system architecture and security operations experience.
- 10+ years leading enterprise-scale systems architecture, security operations organizations.
- Hands-on experience deploying AI, machine learning, large language models, agentic systems, or automation technologies in production environments.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale Systems architectures and security automation platforms.
- Strong client-facing experience working with enterprise security leaders and executive stakeholders.
