Overview

Job Summary:

A Solution Leader owns strategy and delivery for a given solution, end to end, which includes guiding the work of one or multiple delivery squads associated with the solution. A Solution Leader creates a solution roadmap and defines the strategic vision for their team driven by the overall vision. They have a deep understanding of the target market/industry and build close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the team's effort is aligned with the overall strategy. A Solution Leader manages dependencies within their delivery team while identifying, building and managing strategic partnerships across different teams. They work closely within their team to ensure business value and that user feedback is translated into new developments when necessary. A Solution Leader will be accountable for specific business KPIs based on the area of the product they are focused on.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

Essential Functions:
  • Leads agile squad(s) and works onsite with the team on a daily basis
  • Sets ambitious and clear product vision and communicates it effectively to the team, the rest of the Digital Solutions unit as well as other stakeholders
  • Develops end-to-end team output strategy from inception to production
  • Collaborates with stakeholders, such as business and technical, to ensure the digital vision and products align within business strategy and requirements
  • Accountable for product-specific KPIs once the solution enters production; communicates regular tracking to stakeholders
  • Utilizes market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for their team. Maintains a backlog 3-4 sprints ahead of the team
  • Works closely with Digital Business Strategy to establish each product's business value; supports messaging, communication and customer outreach as necessary
  • Facilitates release planning with stakeholders as well as frequent/(bi-)weekly demos
  • Integrates usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer-driven design
  • Aligns outward-facing product requirements and stakeholders
  • Sets the go-to-market strategy and collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to direct and deliver on go-to-market activities, such as the development of the marketing plan, sales tools and training

Networking/KeyRelationships:
  • This position will work closely with all groups within the Digital Solutions Unit, as well as Marketing, Service, Medical Affairs, R&D and other functions across the organization to effectively drive solutions forward.


Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science, Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, within the healthcare industry preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience with agile and scrum, preferred
  • MBA, preferred

Skills & Capabilities

Domain Expertise:
  • Proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the relevant industry
  • Strong collaborator with experience working in cross-functional teams from tech, design, and business
  • Experience with B2C digital products
  • Understanding and knowledge of various roles in regulated industries and how they interact with product offering
  • Understanding of laboratory and clinical workflows as it pertains to diagnostics preferred

Agile/Digital Experience:
  • Experience in facilitating agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up, etc.), preferred
  • Experience in leading teams, preferably in an agile setting

Individual Skills:
  • Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor
  • Strong communication skills with comfort in speaking with business and technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem solver with the ability to manage and lead the team to push the solution and progress

Travel Requirements:
  • Up to 15% of the time.


The annual base salary range for this role is currently $160,000 to $195,000 . Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.

This role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan retirement benefits with an employer match, as well as paid vacation and sick leave. Our sales roles are eligible for participation in a commission plan and our management, and select professional roles, are eligible for a performance-based bonus.
