JOB SUMMARY
This role supports the Financial and Non-Financial Risk Engineering organization. Primary responsibility is supporting the firm's ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) platform, specifically around Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC). The architect will support the Risk Compliance Enhancement (RCE) program. RCE Program Regulatory-driven initiative. Goal is to consolidate GRC capabilities onto the ServiceNow IRM platform. Program has been underway for approximately 2-3 years. Major delivery began within the past year. Multiple future releases are planned throughout 2027.
Key Responsibilities
Design solutions within the ServiceNow IRM platform.
Translate business requirements into technical architecture.
Recommend out-of-the-box ServiceNow capabilities before pursuing customization.
Participate in technical delivery when needed.
Provide architectural guidance while remaining hands-on enough to support engineering efforts.
Collaborate with global engineering teams.
Building and integrating information systems to meet the company's needs.
Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
Resolving technical problems as they arise.
Providing supervision and guidance to development teams.
Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have.
Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.
Required Qualifications
Deep ServiceNow IRM experience
Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) background
Experience implementing regulatory/compliance capabilities
Experience within large enterprise environments (financial institutions preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least ten years' experience in systems architecture and development methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and work experiences.
At least 10 years of experience developing reusable services in an enterprise environment.
Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
Strong experience with building data pipelines & data processing architectures using Azure Cloud & NoSQL technologies
In-depth understanding of coding languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc).
Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
Efficient communication skills.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Snowflake integration exposure
Data Mesh exposure
Regulatory program experience
Experience building data warehouse architecture
Tech experience with Snowflake or Redshift
Large financial institution experience strongly preferred
Able to balance architecture with hands-on technical work
Strong communicator who actively participates in Agile ceremonies
Demonstrated ownership and accountability
Prefers out-of-the-box ServiceNow solutions over heavy customization
