About the role:

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Solutions Architect to join us in our Pennsylvania location to cover Pennsylvania territory accounts. In this role, you will be the catalyst creating possibilities, solving problems, and establishing working relationships with customers. You'll help our customers invest wisely in solutions and technologies that will give them maximum flexibility in the future, allowing them to run faster and more efficiently. You will use your business insight to present executive lT leadership with compelling business and technical cases for Red Hat solutions. As a Solutions Architect, you will collaborate with the broader Sales team and technical delivery teams to bring our customers the best solutions using Red Hat's suite of products including (but not limited to) Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat Openshift, and Red Hat AI. You will be instrumental in enabling these technologies both in traditional infrastructure settings and in public cloud environments.

What you will do:
  • Become a trusted adviser within Red Hat's customer base; build solid, lasting relationships with customers
  • Provide pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex solutions
  • Gain deep understanding of customer business and IT environments and collaborate with sales teams to assess the potential application of Red Hat's solutions
  • Present complex solutions to potential customers and design value-driven architectures, explaining the application and business value of Red Hat's solutions
  • Understand current technology and industry trends; connect trends to customer value and Red Hat solutions
  • Participate in and guide vertical and industry-specific subject matter expert teams; create white papers, reference architectures, and other industry-specific technical collateral
  • Share knowledge and findings so that team members can learn from your successes and mistakes

What you will bring:
  • Prior experience as a consultant, sales engineer, or similar role
  • Deep experience in multiple Red Hat product verticals or related competitive products
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences; ability to interpret customer business and technical needs
  • Excellent presentation skills; ability to present to mixed business, technical, management, and leadership audiences of all sizes
  • Proven record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organizations
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Experience with both technical and cultural implementation challenges for cloud-native and containerized environments


The salary range for this position is $150,910.00 - $241,440.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
