Position Description:

We are looking for a Solution Architect - Manufacturing & Engineering to design and evolve end-to-end technology solutions supporting engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations across the enterprise.

In this strategic role, you will act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, helping modernize and integrate complex PLM, MES, ERP, and Order-to-Delivery (OTD) ecosystems while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Your responsibilities
• Provide end-to-end solution architecture across the Business, Application, Information, and Technology domains and develop supporting solution architecture documentation.
• Define target architectures and technology roadmaps for PLM, MES, ERP, and OTD ecosystems.
• Design end-to-end integration patterns connecting engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain systems.
• Partner with business process owners across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.
• Contribute to the development of a reference architecture repository for manufacturing and engineering domains.
• Support process harmonization, standardization, and automation initiatives across plants and global sites.
• Support system modernization, cloud migration, and application integration initiatives.
• Provide architectural oversight across multiple programs and projects, from initial concept through delivery.
• Lead workshops and presentations to communicate solution options, impacts, dependencies, and trade-offs to stakeholders.

• Bachelore28099s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10+ years of IT experience, including at least 4 years in Solution Architecture within manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Strong experience with PLM platforms, such as Teamcenter or Windchill.
• Experience with MES solutions, including SAP or Siemens environments.
• Strong understanding of ERP platforms, particularly SAP S/4HANA.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain integration flows, including OTD, BOM, routing, and related processes.
• Familiarity with manufacturing shop-floor systems and environments.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to develop robust solution architecture designs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to communicate daily with internal and external stakeholders located outside Quebec or with English-speaking stakeholders.

Compensation

CGI provides a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The final compensation will depend on factors such as skills, experience, geographic market, training, and relevant licenses and certifications.

Estimated salary range: CAD $90,000-$175,000.
