Responsible for the automation of requirements management, change management, requirements gathering/tracking, and configuration management. Projects require automated solutions to effectively manage the requirements, link source documents, and architectures. The Tools Engineer shall work with teams to identify, engineer, and implement the most optimum automated solution that follows approved processes for a given project or infrastructure. In addition, Tools Engineers shall work with all other infrastructure support teams as other teams as part of a solution to identify, engineer, and implement solutions that integrate with the automation/infrastructure/productivity tools.
Required Skills:
DOD8570-M, IAT Level 1
Experience with DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Load Balancing (F5/DTC)
Familiar with outages, latency issues, & trouble shooting
Proven experience designing and implementing DDI solutions
Experience with load balancing technologies
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including IPv4 and IPv6
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience with scripting (Perl, Python) and automation tools (Ansible)a plus
Fourteen (14) years combined experience as a software engineer, system engineer, system administrator or configuration management engineer. Eight (8) years experience as a Tools Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited institution is required. Four (4) years of additional experience as a software engineer, system engineer, system administrator , or configuration management experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
