About the Role

Team/Project: Canada B2C Digital Solution. Main application in the portfolio is a B2C Platform for pharmacy patients. Team of around 20 people.

McKesson is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to help ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-quality healthcare technology solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with product owners, developers, business stakeholders, and QA team members to design, and execute comprehensive testing activities across web, iOS, and Android applications. You will be responsible for validating functionality, identifying defects, assessing risk, and ensuring that applications meet both business and customer expectations before release.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong expertise in manual software testing, excels at exploratory and end-to-end testing, has experience validating mobile and web applications, and possesses exposure to test automation and API testing practices.

What You'll Do

Manual Testing

  • Analyze business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and design documentation.

  • Design and execute detailed manual test scenarios and test cases.

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.

  • Validate customer-facing workflows across web and mobile applications.

  • Perform risk-based testing to focus efforts on high-impact business functionality.

  • Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing to ensure application stability.

Mobile & Web Application Testing

  • Execute testing across Web, iOS, and Android applications.

  • Validate responsive behavior across browsers, devices, and operating systems.

  • Test mobile user experiences, navigation, notifications, device-specific functionality, and application performance.

  • Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and troubleshoot mobile and web defects.

Defect Management & Quality Assurance

  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.

  • Provide detailed defect reports, reproduction steps, screenshots, logs, and supporting evidence.

  • Support root cause investigations with development teams.

  • Assist in release go/no-go recommendations based on testing outcomes and identified risks.

API & Technical Validation

  • Perform API validation using Postman or similar tools.

  • Validate request/response behavior, integrations, data accuracy, and error handling.

  • Support backend testing efforts where applicable.

Test Automation

  • Support automation initiatives by contributing to automated test development and maintenance.

  • Execute and review automated test results.

  • Partner with senior automation engineers to improve test coverage and efficiency.

  • Contribute ideas to improve automation effectiveness where appropriate.

Basic Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering roles.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong hands-on experience with manual testing methodologies and test execution.

  • Experience testing web applications, iOS applications, and Android applications.

  • Experience creating test cases, test scenarios, and test plans from business requirements.

  • Experience performing functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.

  • Experience with defect management tools and defect lifecycle processes.

  • Experience participating in Agile/Scrum software development teams.

  • Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or comparable tools.

  • Experience with developing and maintaining performance scripts using NeoLoad or comparable tools.

  • Experience performing API testing using Postman or similar API validation tools.

  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience building or maintaining scalable test automation frameworks.

  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.

  • Knowledge of healthcare technology, healthcare software, or regulated environments.

  • Experience with mobile device testing platforms such as Kobiton, BrowserStack or Appium.

  • Experience with test data management and test environment configuration.

  • Familiarity with performance, security, or non-functional testing practices.

  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working within cloud-based application environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence quality improvements across teams and projects.

Travel, Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Minimal travel may be required based on business needs.

  • Position may be remote, hybrid, or office-based in accordance with team and business requirements.

  • Ability to work at a computer and participate in virtual and in-person meetings for extended periods.
