Job Description

This role will support the fast-paced Airborne Software organization as a project engineer. You will report through Combat Systems and be responsible for integrating cost and schedule across mission-critical software projects, maintaining technical roadmaps, and driving process and metric generation.

What You Will Be Doing
- Maintain the technical, cost, and schedule dimensions of all team contracts and ensure data integrity across the Airborne Software portfolio.
- Assist leadership and control account managers by monitoring project health, troubleshooting issues, and developing detailed project plans, timelines, and technical deliverables.
- Review project status, budgets, and cost inquiries; document variances, track critical-path shifts, and contribute to annual CEAC (Cost-Estimate-at-Completion) efforts and new-business proposals.
- Collaborate with personnel at every level-team members, functional departments, program leads, and government stakeholders-to facilitate seamless information flow.
- Produce earned-value performance reports, EAC (Estimate-at-Completion) assessments, and risk/opportunity analyses; implement approved risk-mitigation strategies.
- Participate in required customer, government, and DCMA reviews and audits, ensuring compliance and transparency.
- Gather data and create technical roadmaps that accurately reflect program performance and forecast trends.
- Support Basis of Estimates (BOEs) generation with support from the team, ensuring solid cost foundations for future work.
- Support Control Account Managers (CAMs) in their day-to-day responsibilities, providing timely data and analysis.
- Design, develop, and maintain Tableau and Grafana dashboards to visualize key performance indicators, schedule health, and cost trends for senior leadership.
- Conduct metrics analysis, data validation, and reporting to enable data-driven decision-making across the software development lifecycle.
- Perform other supportive duties as assigned by team leadership.

Who You Are
Project Engineers are essential to ensuring that teams can succeed within LM Aero and, in this role, the Project Engineer will be interacting with several pieces of the software development lifecycle and gain a lot of exposure to the process of how software is developed and delivered. As a project engineer, this individual will also be helping to ensure that the team has the appropriate metrics, data collection/organization, and status available to operate smoothly. **Must be a US citizen. This position requires special access and an interim Secret clearance to start.**

• Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college/university
• Experience designing and developing dashboards through Grafana and/or Tableau
• Project Management, Project Engineering or Program Management experience
• Experience with finance, planning, reporting, and budgeting

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $98,300 - $170,315.
