Description:
The Software Integration Engineer shall be responsible for executing and maintaining automated integration and system testing processes across a diverse range of HPC operating environments. This role involves the development of playbooks and scripts to be leveraged for system-level integration, development of technical documentation, coordination of integration activities, and clear communication of results to key stakeholders.

The Software Integration Engineer shall configure and execute deployments, troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during integration, and support continuous improvement of the deployment process. In addition, the Software Integration Engineer shall conduct performance, functional, redundancy, and failover testing to ensure system stability and reliability under various conditions.

This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate closely with Software Engineers, System Administrators, and QA to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software systems.

Provides expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

The Level IV Software Integration Engineer (SIE) shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.
  • Generate documentation for the full software stack.
  • Update software for sustainment support.
  • Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.
  • Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.
  • Provide software product ownership for HPC tools.
  • Working knowledge of CM tools, web documentation, and issue tracking.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and switch between various architectural paradigms.
  • Develop software tool plugins in the language in which the tools are written.
  • Determine the optimal, or best available, HPC configuration for customer needs.
Position Required Skills
  • Experience with Linux CLI, Linux tools, Bash scripting
  • Recent experience with programming in Python
  • Experience with test automation development
  • Experience with tracking and reporting issues
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues across the full software stack
  • Experience with IaC principles and automation tools including Ansible
  • Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
  • Experience with Git Source Control System
Position Desired Skills
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Familiar with Agile software development principles, methodologies, and best practices

SIE-4 Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least ten (10) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
OR
The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least ten (10) years of demonstrable experience.
OR
An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience.
OR
A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.

Salary Range:
$202k-$263k (Annually)*
* *The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
