- Experience with device, OS, or embedded system security.
- Experience working in embedded or operating systems software.
Preferred qualifications:- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex organization.
- 2 years of experience managing distributed teams or mentoring technical leads.
- Experience in technical leadership or engineering management overseeing software, systems, or security teams.
- Experience building or managing backend security services, PKI/signing infrastructure, or CI/CD automation.
- Experience with low-level platform firmware (TF-A), memory-safe languages (Rust), secure bootloaders, or hardware security modules (HSMs).
Responsibilities- Manage, coach, and grow emerging technical managers overseeing security infrastructure, new security initiatives, and low-level firmware.
- Oversee ARM Trusted Firmware (TF-A) execution environments and drive the architectural evolution of porting secure low-level platform code to memory-safe Rust (RF-A).
- Guide the engineering roadmap for secure diagnostic tools, advanced cryptographic signing pipelines, and automated lab testing.
- Collaborate directly with custom silicon design, platform security, and manufacturing teams to ensure device integrity.
- Design and analyze various security systems on Pixel devices.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
