We are first and foremost a software company. We are seeking an additional leader to help continue building upon our market leading solutions that help courts and public safety organizations of all sizes.

We employ a highly collaborative teamwork approach, and our leaders remain highly involved to make sure we are looking beyond just another project. In this role, you will lead a multi-discipline team to deliver solutions in concert with peer teams in support of a unified product vision. You will work in a dynamic and challenging environment utilizing an agile development methodology to deliver products to market.

Hybrid Work Policy: This is a hybrid position where the candidate is required to be in the Franklin, TN office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities
  • As a leader, you will oversee all aspects of software development. Your team will consist of professionals in analysis, engineering, quality assurance and/or automation engineering, some of which may be remote.
  • Your team will interact with peer groups such as architecture, operations, and other product teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Cloud technology is driving a dramatic acceleration of innovation in software solutions. While you do not necessarily need to know the underlying details of the cloud, an awareness of the trends and new capabilities will help you succeed in your quest to innovate.
  • Drive the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile development methodologies.
  • Leads their team in using AI to improve productivity, code quality, and development workflows, while promoting responsible and effective adoption across the lifecycle.
  • Implement and oversee DevOps practices to streamline the software development lifecycle.
  • Lead project design and effort estimation sessions, challenging your team to discern how to be successful in both the near term and the long term.
  • Coordinate and contribute to the prioritization of projects within the team.
  • Work with peers to balance development roadmap projects vs. escalation of operational issues.
  • Contribute to a strategy of year-over-year improvement to the product and evolution of the underlying platform.
  • Identify and implement Key Performance Indicators for measuring and improving team effectiveness.
  • Communicate and drive internal work to meet deliverables.
  • Coach your team for employee growth and development.
  • Perform staff evaluations.
  • Recommend and contributes to process improvement initiatives including but not limited to product enhancements, internal/external education, and processes.
  • Commit to expanding your technological skills and maintaining advanced knowledge of the Corrections Solutions products.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in related field or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a leadership-oriented software position.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, teamwork, and customer service
  • You should value deadlines and regularly complete work on time
  • Ability to make sound, effective and timely decisions along with the ability to solve problems involving complex issues.
  • Ability to negotiate and partner internally and externally, with those who are both technical and non-technical.
  • Experience with SaaS product delivery
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience implementing DevOps tools and practices.
  • Agile experience required.
  • Scrum Master certification preferred.
  • A solid understanding of SDLC principles and methodologies.
  • Adept at requirements gathering and analysis
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical ability, particularly in a technical environment.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
