Job Summary:Mercury Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to lead a collaborative engineering team focused on designing, developing, integrating, and testing software solutions for embedded and enterprise systems. This role offers hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Job Responsibilities:- Lead software development team in task planning and status.
- Manages large projects or processes
- Limited oversight from manager
- Coaches, reviews, and delegates work for lower-level professionals
- Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures
- Define software development plan, define software test plan, and design software architecture.
- Mange software configuration items and formally release software.
- Support design teams in hardware bring-up and system-level validation of products.
- Collaborate with Integrated Product Team (IPT) to enhance and support product development.
- Partners with test engineering, systems engineering, and customer support teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor degree in relevant technical discipline.
- Typically requires 10+ years relevant work experience.
- Experience with C++ object-oriented programming.
- Experience with embedded programming on hardware.
- Experience working in Linux environments.

Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience with ANSI C and Python.
- Experience with C# and Windows Presentation Framework (WPF).
- Experience with object-orientated design patterns.
- Experience with Atlassian Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
- Experience with lab equipment for data collection and processing.
- Candidates will need to possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work effectively both individually and collaboratively.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
