What You Can Expect

In this role, you will design and ship AI-powered features within Zoom's Workforce Engagement Management (WEM) platform, directly improving how enterprise organizations forecast, schedule, and coach their teams. Working alongside experienced engineers, product managers, and data scientists, you will take ownership of features from initial design through production deployment. You will contribute to some of the most forward-looking work in the WEM space, from LLM-powered simulation environments to intelligent notification systems and AI-driven quality scoring pipelines. This is a hands-on role with meaningful mentorship from senior engineers and real impact on thousands of enterprise users from day one. This is a hybrid position that requires on-site presence 3 days per week at our San Jose, CA office. Remote arrangements are not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AI-driven features for WFM and QM products using LLMs and prompt-based architectures.

• Develop, fine-tune, and evaluate prompts and models for conversational and decision-support use cases.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing workflows and production systems.

• Contribute to model evaluation frameworks and feedback loops that improve AI accuracy, reliability, and user experience.

• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and cross-functional syncs to ensure high-quality, scalable software delivery.

• Identify and resolve production issues, contributing to root cause analysis and preventive measures.

• Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code following team engineering standards.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or Go/Java, with foundational understanding of machine learning, NLP, or LLM architectures.

• Familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or LangChain.

• 0-1 years of professional software engineering experience; new graduates are welcome to apply.

• Experience or coursework in prompt engineering, LLM fine-tuning, or AI workflow orchestration (internship or project experience counts).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), or MLOps tooling is a plus.

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
