Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes.
Design, implement and maintain REST APIs to support scalable modern applications.
Leverage Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket) for agile project management.
Skill Level 2 (14+ years of relevant work experience)
Perform all Skill Level 1 functions.
Design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resources, or interface constraints.
Perform quality control on team products.
Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and obtain information on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met.
Architect and develop REST API to ensure secure, reliable communication between distributed systems.
Architect and manage cloud-based solutions.
Qualifications:
Experience:
7-14+ years of relevant work experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong customer service skills and ability to work across multiple disciplines.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Ability to work well independently or as a team member.
Experience with CI/CD pipeline.
Experience using Flask for web application and REST API development.
Proficiency in Git.
Desired Technical Skills :
Experience using tools like Python and SQL.
Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS GovCloud.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer programming, engineering, or a relevant technical/analytics discipline.
