Full Job Description
Trimble Transportation is in business for optimizing the movement of freight by providing shippers and carriers both mobility, enterprise and visibility software tools they need to run their businesses more efficiently. As the leading provider of Transportation Management Software (TMS), Asset Management Software (AMS), and Fleet Management Software (FMS) we are devoted to propelling companies in the trucking industry toward increased efficiency, lower costs and optimize operations.

Position Purpose:

This full stack engineer position will require a good understanding of cloud software engineering and design principles, combined with a strong desire to learn and master a variety of cloud first technologies.

Our core engineering philosophy is to design for simplicity and deliver continuously.
  • Excellent understanding of cloud design patterns
  • Familiarity with building and consuming restful web services and event based applications
  • Familiarity with cloud messaging architecture and infrastructure (Kafka/ Confluent, Service Bus etc)
  • Great problem solving skills
  • .Net Core C# or equivalent open source languages
  • MongoDb, Postgres or equivalent cloud databases
  • Experience in front end technologies (React preferred)
  • Experience with containerizing applications using Docker
  • 3+ Years of Core Software Engineering experience
  • Ability to work independently, rapidly prototype concepts and communicate with stakeholders
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Use of AI tools in development and a bias towards automating repetitive tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience


Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
