Software Engineer - Team Lead/Front End - 12+ yrs of Experience - TS/SCI w/Poly Required

Halogen Engineering Groupis looking for a Software Engineer to join our team who can support Nightwing CODEX, directly meeting mission-critical needs in partnership with mission customers. This individual will lead a team of UI developers, designing front-end architecture and coding standards while remaining hands-on in development across the full software product lifecycle in an agile environment. Responsibilities span analyzing user requirements to derive design and performance standards, developing and debugging software, integrating systems, and implementing algorithms to meet performance goals. The ideal candidate has front end experience, translates UX/UI designs into accessible, production-ready interfaces, and mentors junior developers while collaborating closely with system engineers and product stakeholders to resolve technical problem areas.

Salary Range

The projectedcompensation range for this position is 235K-242K (annualized USD).

Requirements

Required Skills

Proven experience leading or mentoring a development team

Strong proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Full-stack experience, including backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, RESTful/GraphQL API design

Experience with state management, component-based architecture, and responsive design

Familiarity with version control (Git) CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud is a plus)

Experience working closely with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure accurate implementation of accessible interfaces

Experience working with tiered architectural systems and in a Linux/Ubuntu environment is a plus

Qualifications

  • Twelve (12) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
  • Seven (7) years' experience in Software Database and Repository Interface Development
