THE WORK
Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented level 2 Software Engineer with an active Secret clearance to work from our Sunnyvale, CA location.
Primary interface with project leads and System Engineers for software architecture decisions.
Perform software engineering lifecycle requirements following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include:
• Requirements analysis
• Object oriented analysis & design (OOD)
• Code & unit test, integration
• Support to formal test and delivery
• Participate in technical reviews and audits of software products.
• Utilize Model Based Design approaches.
• Support development of complex system internal and external interfaces.
• This position requires interaction, planning and coordination with multiple software development, spacecraft engineering and data engineering/maintenance teams.
This role will be in System Integration Database group and will entail working to maintain legacy software, administration of development, test, and production environments and supporting development and test teams for next generation software. This role will also support the verification and validation of production data.
This is an EMERGING PROFESSIONAL(level 2) ROLE where candidates typically require 1+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with Computer Science and Computer Engineering studies or other related discipline from an accredited college/university. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Skills to troubleshoot issues with minimum supervision.
• Ability to collaborate with others.
• Ability to interpret requirements and implement them.
• Programming experience required.
• An active secret clearance is required for consideration

National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $107,300 - $185,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
