The Work
The Submarine C5I SE&I team is seeking a highly motivated CCE Product Architect who will execute senior Architecture IPT leadership's vision with the various Architecture product teams to deliver a robust and reliable CCE. This role blends deep systems-software architecture expertise with Engineering Project Management (EPM) skills to drive a cohesive System of Systems (SoS) solution, ensuring the CCE meets program milestones and customer requirements to achieve the North Star vision of delivering capability to the compatible fleet at the speed of relevance. The CCE Product Architect will act as the technical hub, aligning architecture, schedule, and process across product lines while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with A-IPT leadership to realize the North Star vision through actionable roadmaps and milestones; drive cross-product team rhythm and execution to deliver a robust, reliable CCE product.
• Maintain and evolve the CCE architecture, continuously monitoring emerging and developing technologies for evaluation.
• Champion CCE adoption across the enterprise; define clear roles & responsibilities as the architecture matures and lead resolution of CCE-related issues.
• Drive alignment and coordination across Architecture product teams, the CIS subsystem, and the SE&I Execution team to generate synergies, improve efficiency, and accelerate delivery.
• Communicate program objectives, ensure team priorities match technical strategy, and remove blockers that impede progress.
• Oversee product releases to meet program milestones and satisfy end-user needs; ensure quality products are delivered on time and on budget.
• Proactively identify and assess technical and schedule risks; implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical guidance, champion best-practice architecture processes, and mentor junior engineers and architects.
• Build an inclusive, high-performing SoS team and culture as we work to onboard talent from other TEAMSUB programs/funding lines.
• Work with the Architecture EPM to assess staffing needs, define organization structures, and allocate resources efficiently across product teams.
• Develop and maintain a quality standard for delivered software products.
Basic Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in systems/software architecture and integration of large scale systems.
• 5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and managing technical schedules.
• Demonstrated experience in systems architecture, on-premise cloud systems, systems engineering, software engineering, and integration/test, with proven problem-solving abilities to develop technical solutions for large-scale, complex projects.
• Knowledge of system and software architecture concepts, such as containerization and cloud technologies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret (or higher) clearance.
• Experience working on teams in a geographically dispersed and virtual environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders with a high degree of technical and interpersonal competency.
Desired skills
• Experience with submarine combat or similar systems.
• Familiarity with the SWFTS CCE and the products of which it is comprised
• Kubernetes or other cloud technology certification
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and principles, software configuration management, certification, and delivery processes
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering principles and tools
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence products, including experience with agile project planning, issue tracking, and collaboration tools
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $164,300 - $289,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $189,000 - $327,635. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
