Plans, conducts, and coordinates software-development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that provides logical and mathematical solutions to business or mission problems. Applies appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life-cycle. Leverages knowledge of computer hardware, software, and domain-specific requirements to create robust applications. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures adherence to software standards.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Software Integration Engineer, you will drive the full technology-development lifecycle-from system and software design to automation tooling, infrastructure upgrades, and seamless software integration. You will work across diverse host environments, including aircraft software, high-fidelity simulators, and lab setups that combine constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system-level models.

Core Responsibilities
Develop, integrate, support, and debug cutting-edge software across multiple platforms.
Own and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, ensuring builds are fast, reliable, and reproducible.
Champion virtual development labs and aircraft-software workflows, keeping them agile and user-friendly.
Design and build automation frameworks using open-source, commercial, and in-house tools, experimenting with the latest technologies.
Participate daily in scrums, sprint reviews, and technical demos, sharing progress and insights with the team.

Must be a U.S. citizen.
Position requires a government security clearance; an Interim Secret clearance is required to start.
The facility has special access requirements.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college/university in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Experience developing software on Linux
• Experience with simulation software Environments
• Experience programming in C++ and/or Java

Desired Skills
• Experience with CI tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket
• Experience with Real-time software development and integration
• Experience programming in Python
• A strong interest in supporting software development for airborne systems
• Experience with aircraft sensors, datalinks, navigation, and/or weapons
• Experience with Open Mission Systems
• Experience leading software projects

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00

The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
