ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED
We have an immediate need for a Software Engineer specializing in identity, access management, and infrastructure security. In this critical role, you will design, build, and maintain access control mechanisms and permission frameworks to secure critical HPC system resources. You will engineer robust, automated permission structures that enforce security policies, align with agency standards, and ensure high-throughput computing assets remain tightly secured and fully compliant.
The annual base salary range for this role is $178,000-$210,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Required Skills
Access Control Frameworks: Demonstrated experience implementing access control models, including RBAC (Role-Based) and HBAC (Host-Based), in enterprise Linux environments.
Software Development & Scripting: Proven software development experience in Python, alongside advanced proficiency writing Bash and Python scripts for workflow automation.
Infrastructure Automation: Hands-on experience developing Ansible playbooks to orchestrate software and hardware provisioning.
Linux Administration: Solid foundation in Linux CLI usage and core system administration, specifically User and Group Management.
IAM & Directory Technologies: Familiarity with Identity and Access Management tools and protocols, including Keycloak, FreeIPA, SSSD, LDAP, and Kerberos.
CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with CI/CD principles and automated delivery systems (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
Version Control: Proficiency with the Git source control system for code management and team collaboration.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, Finance/Economics, or a related discipline, PLUS 5+ years of specialized data analytics or financial intelligence experience OR Master's Degree in a related field, PLUS 3+ years of specialized analytical experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 7+ years of hands-on intelligence analysis, financial tracking, and data discovery experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired Skills
Containerization: Experience with container environments and isolation models (e.g., Docker, Podman, containerd).
Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) software development practices.
Collaboration Tools: Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence) for project tracking and documentation.
