Job DescriptionYou will be the Software Engineer Staff for the Simulation & System Labs (SSL) which is responsible for delivering advanced simulation and integration solutions that empower warfighters worldwide.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Software Engineer - Simulation & Integration you will be responsible for integrating, testing, and enhancing shared simulation software across a variety of lab environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain real-time distributed simulation software for aircraft and support systems.
- Integrate and troubleshoot SSS software in hardware-in-the-loop and man-in-the-loop labs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Digital Transformation initiatives.
- Execute verification and validation activities to ensure software performance meets program requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and documentation for software integration efforts.

Basic Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technical Field
• Software Development Experience using C++
• Experience developing software on Linux
Desired skills• Experience with real-time software development & integration
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems
• Experience with automated testing
• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and tools, such as Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket
• Experience performing software integration in hardware-in-the-loop and/or man-in-the-loop simulation environments
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools, such as VersionOne and Jira
• An extreme interest in anything airborne, such as fighter aircraft and airplanes
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $113,900 - $200,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
