Position Description:deciBel Research seeks an experienced Software Engineer to support the Ground Based Midcourse (GMD) Weapon System (GWS). The successful candidate will support the program as an individual contributor on the SPA team. This role is responsible for developing SW products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels.
Due to the nature of the role, this is not offered as a teleworking or hybrid position.
Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM related field
Experience Requirements:- 2+ years with Bachelor's degree, 0 years with Master's degree
- Experience programming with C++
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
Special Skills Desired:- Experience with simulation and simulation frameworks
- Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket
- Experience with the System Engineering Lifecycle
- Experience with Unit Test and System Test Development
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
- Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
