Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (VA/DC/MD) - Onsite/Hybrid per program requirements. Candidates must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the DC metro area prior to start.
Salary: $140,000-$225,000 - Commensurate with experience
Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting mission systems.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented code across the full development lifecycle.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, DevOps, and QA.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects in existing production systems.
- Contribute to system design and architecture discussions.
- Support integration with government systems, APIs, and data sources.
Requirements- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Experience with software development lifecycle practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience supporting missions for DoW, DHS, FBI, or another national security agency.
- Willingness to work onsite in the DC metro area as required.
Preferred Skills- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GovCloud).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with modern front-end and back-end frameworks.
- Experience supporting classified or mission-critical systems.
Education and Work Experience3-15 years of relevant experience, with placement (Mid, Senior, or Lead) commensurate with demonstrated experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
