Software Engineer (F/T):
Engineer scalable data frameworks using Java, orchestrated on Kubernetes, and AWS glue, leveraging Hive-backend Iceberg tables for terabyte-scalable data processing and efficient data handling in production systems; automate infrastructure deployments with AWS, CDK, CloudFormation, and YAML, reducing manual errors and accelerating release cycles; enhance backend forecasting workflows by integrating Java APIs and ML models, increasing decision accuracy across financial systems; produce detailed technical design documents and metadata catalogs to improve team onboarding and support system scalability, paralleling the need for clear design specifications; integrate machine learning models into production pipelines for workforce forecasting, using A/B testing to validate model performance and measure impact on planning accuracy; design and deploy invoice automation systems impacting billions in transactional volume, ensuring end-to-end accuracy and system reliability; develop Java + Spark ETL pipelines on AWS Glue/EMR for high-volume data processing, connect results to interactive dashboards built with HTML/JavaScript; integrate legacy Oracle and SQL Server databases into modern Snowflake and Spark-based pipelines, streamlining data migration, ensure schema consistency, and reducing data latency across analytical systems; design and integrate RESTful APIs with Azure AI/ML services; deploy Java and Java microservices on Azure to handle secure academic analytics.
Job location Irvine, CA but relocation possible.
Offered Wage: $157,123/year.
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or any Engineering is required.
