PayPal, Inc. seeks Software Engineer in Scottsdale, Arizona
Job Duties: Design, develop, test, and release software using Java in a Linux/Unix environment. Work on multiple product features without guidance. Propose technical solutions for new and revised features based on an emerging understanding of the product and business domain. Oversee individual project timelines, priorities, and delivery. Participate in software design and code reviews. Develop automated units, integration, and functional test suites. Write SQL and implement database design. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using Object-Oriented programming (1 year);
2. Experience with data structures and algorithms (1 year);
3. Experience developing automated units, integration, and functional test suites (1 year);
4. Experience working with large-scale, highly available, and distributed systems (1 year);
5. Experience with at least two of the following frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or Hibernate;
6. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, maintaining and creating workflows (1 year).

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:
Primary Location | Pay Range:
Scottsdale, Arizona | Salary: $111,072.00-171,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
