JOB DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, implement, test, and maintain major server-side components and web applications. Implement back- end components of an n-tier application, including data model, data access objects, and application logic. Participate in design and implementation of different Business Process Management processes and workflows. Participate in project planning sessions to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed information technology solution. Design, review, and provide input to the design recommendations and incorporate security requirements. Provide input to information and data flow and comply with architectural standards in all phases. Monitor and record the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules, and develop software application modules. Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues. Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit testing, documentation, and maintenance. Participate in and guide the product launch and deployment using continuous integration and deployment tools and technologies. Perform ongoing design and development of future state applications built on a resilient framework and cloud native technologies. Create and manage micro services in cloud environments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: designing and developing software with Java and J2EE using Agile methodologies; designing and building applications using advanced AWS services including Aurora RDS, RDS Proxy, S3 replications, SNS, and SQS; designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources; building application integration using Apache Camel and automating business process using Quartz jobs; building business process workflows using jBPM, business rule engine, and rules driven process execution; developing software or a Microservices environment that deploys as a REST API; designing and developing software by applying Application Architecture Disciplines; building software infrastructure by Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines; developing software utilizing Spring and Spring Boot frameworks for enterprise grade applications; building software utilizing Maven and Gradle to resolve application dependencies; building applications that utilize HTML, JSON and XML formatted data files/service payloads; developing software utilizing SOAP and REST APIs for data transfers between diverse components; developing event streaming software utilizing Apache Kafka and UMMQ; building application infrastructure components utilizing Docker and Kubernetes container frameworks; deploying software utilizing Apache Tomcat application server; setting up software CI/CD pipeline utilizing Jenkins; building infrastructure environment on Linux and Unix based systems; setting up infrastructure through Shell Scripting; developing software with Oracle and DB2 relational databases; developing software with Cassandra NoSQL databases; developing database software to run SQL queries through Hibernate framework; creating Automated Testing scripts utilizing Selenium and Cucumber frameworks; creating Unit Testing scripts utilizing Junit; versioning software code utilizing GIT and Apache Subversion for code version control; developing software utilizing Wealth Management Technology for Servicing the managed accounts; configuring Dynatrace to monitor applications; building proxies for applications utilizing Google APIGEE; building secure applications utilizing OAUTH; and building automation scripts utilizing Python programming language.
