JOB DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Computer Programmer Analyst, Technology Lead, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelors' Degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Computer Programmer Analyst, Technology Lead, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Designing and implementing enterprise-level microservices using Spring and Spring Boot; Deploying and managing applications that run on the Kubernetes platform; Designing and optimizing database schemas using relational databases including Oracle RDS and CockroachDB; Developing and optimizing data access layers to interact with NoSQL databases including Cassandra, Redis, and GemFire; Performance tuning applications using JMeter and BlazeMeter. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Creating database schemas, writing SQL queries, and working with ORM frameworks for data persistence; Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes using Jenkins and Jules; Designing and deploying scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS services including EC2, S3, ECS, and EKS.
