ABOUT THE ROLEAs an Infrastructure engineer, you'll be responsible for scaling computational needs for Aaru and its customers. The Infrastructure team owns scalability and continuous improvement of all systems across the company, ensuring the rate of decision-making by Aaru and our customers exponentially increases.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Design and build high-performance and low-latency infrastructure systems to enable Aaru's engineering organization
- Optimize and manage reliability for complex data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources
- Identify inefficiencies or issues anywhere in our system design that can be solved in infrastructure
- Collaborate with others on the infrastructure team to architect and implement solutions
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF- You've built applications or frameworks that large engineering teams love to use
- You care deeply about performance, developer experience, and reliability
- You have worked with research teams to transition experiments into production pipelines
- You have experience solving engineering problems at the infrastructure level
- You're experienced with working with languages with an algebraic type system
- You have practical experience with the limitations of networking protocols
STRONG CANDIDATES MAY ALSO- Have strong experience in cloud primitives
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (HTTP, TLS, etc)
- Have experience establishing a strong culture oriented around identifying and eliminating bottlenecks in long-running computational pipelines
LOCATIONThis role is based in New York City. Aaru is an in-person company, working 5 days a week in office. Candidates are expected to be located within the New York City metropolitan area or open to relocation.
