Job Title: Software Engineer III

Pay Range: $80.00 - $93.00 per hour

Job Description: Key Responsibilities - Run and iterate on camera and sensor simulation pipelines to generate synthetic datasets on demand.
- Deliver training and evaluation data to Camera Architecture and Machine Learning teams within aggressive project timelines.
- Support machine learning algorithm training and evaluation using generated synthetic data by running training jobs, producing evaluation metrics, and refining dataset composition based on model performance.
- Configure simulation scenes and sensor parameters to align with customer and architectural specifications.
- Validate and quality-check generated datasets prior to handoff.
- Maintain and enhance simulation tooling and dataset generation scripts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to support AI and computer vision initiatives.
Requirements - Minimum 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on machine learning infrastructure.
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience using Python and C++.
- Experience building and supporting machine learning models, architectures, and pipelines.
- Experience running machine learning training and evaluation workflows, preferably using PyTorch.
- Ability to interpret model performance metrics and apply findings to improve dataset quality and composition.
- Experience working with large-scale dataset generation, storage, and versioning.
- Strong understanding of Linux development environments and source control practices.
- Understanding of camera simulation fundamentals, including intrinsic and extrinsic calibration.
- Knowledge of sensor modeling concepts such as quantum efficiency, conversion gain, read noise, and shot noise.
- Understanding of image formation processes and Image Signal Processor (ISP) fundamentals.
- Experience supporting AI-driven computer vision or perception systems.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with rendering engines such as Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar simulation frameworks.
- Background in optical imaging concepts including radiometry, PSF (Point Spread Function), and MTF (Modulation Transfer Function).
- Experience with camera tuning, ISP tuning, or perception model development.
- Prior experience working with synthetic data generation environments and advanced simulation platforms.
