Job Description:This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
Position Summary:This role will be responsible for creating different environments automation and application development for the current and target process, as well as partnering with the multiple Technology teams to implement the target architecture and migration to strategic platform.
Responsibilities:- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Automates manual release activities
- Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
- This role will be assisting the vulnerabilities identified within the New Saber Platform, that processes all the regulatory calculations for all major workstreams within Capital.
- This role would assist in migrating the platform to Java 21, Spark 4 and upgrading other related libraries.
Required Qualifications:- 7 + years of experience in Java application development end to end
- 5+ year in automation with Ansible and CI/CD
- Experience in Hadoop and Ozone migrations
- Experience in BCP planning
- Experience in addressing Audit / Security concerns
- Strong core java skills including multi-threading, collections API, JDBC and knowledge of Java profiling tools
- Experience in using frameworks like spring, spring boot, mybatis etc
- Knowledge of performance tuning data intensive applications
- Expertise in performance profiling, ability to identify performance improvements and memory optimizations
- Strong coding, debugging, and analytical skills
- Experience in large scale enterprise application implementation
- Creative individual with a track record of working on and implementing innovative tech based solutions
- Exceptional intelligence and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications:- Background in enterprise stress testing
- Knowledge of risk (credit, operational and market)
- 10 + years Knowledge with distributed tech and Java
- Knowledge and/or experience working within the Hadoop or other big data distributed ecosystem.
- Knowledge in ansible automation and BCP planning
- Knowledge of cloud computing or distributed computing

Pay range
$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
