Rate of Pay: $204,500 to $209,000 per Year

Duties: Build platform to power document workflows across Uber. Architect, develop and scale document workflows involving Document Ingestion, inspection (such as fraud detection), extraction (such as accurate, automated transcription), storage/retrieval (such as PII/GDPR), etc. Work with multiple domains, such as Growth, Compliance, Safety, Risk, etc. to design software to verify identity of earners, spenders, and organizations, as well as validate that external regulations and internal standards are met. Develop systems that regulate requirements to adjudicate earner documents and help ensure good and safe actors gain access to Uber's platform. Scale the platform and database, launch new capabilities, and tackle hard, high-impact problems. May telecommute.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, and four years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires:
- Partitioned databases;
- Computer Science fundamentals;
- Handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data and building systems that adhere to privacy and Personal data handling standards;
- Building products using microservices and event-driven architectures;
- Building large scale, distributed backend systems;
- Programming languages such as Golang, Java, or Python;
- Software design and development skills;
- Experience with agile engineering environment.
