Rate of Pay: $171,000 to $209,000 per Year

Duties: Design, develop, and test software applications. Design, develop, and/or test software applications using company technology stack. Apply technical knowledge to evaluate complex data, developments, and projects in order to provide recommendations to resolve technical issues. Support the company's business operations and improve engineering productivity. Build software components that can be integrated into a fully functional software system. Solve production issues in product and system reliability. May telecommute.

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.

Position requires:

01. Go (Golang), including concurrency programming;
02. Object oriented programming language, including Java or C++;
03. Front-end technologies including React, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS;
04. Container orchestration tools including Kubernetes or Docker;
05. Data lake frameworks including Apache Hudi, Delta Lake, or Iceberg;
06. Batch processing frameworks including Apache Spark or Apache Hive;
07. Real-time OLAP engines including ClickHouse, Apache Pinot, or Apache Doris;
08. Stream processing and message queues using Apache Flink and Apache Kafka;
09. RPC frameworks (e.g., gRPC or Thrift) and Protocol Buffers;
10. Caching strategies using Redis or in-memory caches;
11. Designing high-availability distributed systems with high-throughput traffic for machine learning inference or model serving.

Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time.
