The OpportunityWe are looking for Software Engineers to join engineering at Root. In this role, you will work closely with peers on a team within a product domain. You'll play a key role in solving customer and business problems in collaboration with your teammates. As a Software Engineer in the Market Carrier Management team, you'll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems that empower our Stakeholders to respond quickly and efficiently to market changes.
Salary Range: $126,300 - $145,000 (Eligible for Competitive Bonus & Equity Offering)

What You Will Need to Succeed- 2+ years as a software engineer
- An eagerness to work closely with your team in a collaborative environment
- Curiosity in clearly defining the customer problem that needs to be solved
- Excellent communication skills with engineering colleagues
Bonus if You Have:- Experience in Ruby on Rails or equivalent
- Experience with Agentic Development Tools
- Experience with React, TypeScript or Javascript
- Experience with the Apryse Document SDK
- Experience in observability, such as Datadog
- Experience modifying, maintaining, and consuming from APIs
- Experience with AWS
