About the Role

The EA SPORTS FC Quality Verification Engineering team partners closely with Quality Verification and Development teams to deliver high-quality player experiences through innovative automation and engineering. As a Software Engineer II specializing in Generative AI, you will build AI-powered quality solutions that improve test automation, content validation, and development workflows. This is an opportunity to solve complex engineering challenges at the intersection of AI, automation, and game development while helping enable the next generation of player and creator experiences.
What You'll Do
  • Design and develop AI-powered quality engineering solutions using LLMs and intelligent automation.
  • Build automated workflows that generate, execute, and maintain tests for user-generated and procedurally generated content.
  • Develop scalable validation systems that verify content quality, stability, performance, and integrity throughout the development pipeline.
  • Integrate automated quality checks into content creation tools and workflows to identify issues early in the development process.
  • Partner with software engineers, technical artists, and cross-functional teams to embed quality engineering into development pipelines.
  • Create automation frameworks that improve test coverage and reduce reliance on manual testing.
  • Continuously improve AI models, testing frameworks, and engineering tools to increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative approaches to advance quality engineering practices.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong programming skills in C++, C#, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience developing automation frameworks, developer tools, or testing infrastructure.
  • Experience working with LLMs, Generative AI workflows, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted automation.
  • Understanding of software quality engineering principles, automated testing, CI/CD, and scalable validation systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.
Preferred
  • Experience developing games or game engine technology.
  • Knowledge of procedural content generation systems.
  • Experience with Frostbite, Unreal Engine, Unity, or other modern game engines.
  • Familiarity with User Generated Content platforms or creator ecosystems.
  • Experience working with technical art pipelines, asset validation, or content creation tools.
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted testing, autonomous agents, or intelligent quality engineering.
  • Experience with cloud-based AI services, machine learning pipelines, or distributed automation systems.


Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$104,500 - $142,800 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
