Full Job Description
Position Summary :
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry. We are seeking a Software Engineer II to support the stability, security, and operational health of critical applications in the wealth management space. This role is responsible for governance activities, server patching, infrastructure maintenance, environment management, and lifecycle management of application components across development, test, and production environments. The ideal candidate combines strong technical troubleshooting skills with a disciplined approach to risk management, compliance, and operational excellence. While the primary focus of this role is operational support, governance and application health, the individual will also contribute to application enhancements, automation initiatives and tooling improvements that increase reliability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Manage and maintain application and infrastructure environments across development, testing, staging, and production.
  • Coordinate server operating system patching, middleware upgrades, and security remediation activities.
  • Support governance and compliance requirements, including vulnerability remediation, audit requests, change management, and technology risk controls.
  • Maintain inventory and lifecycle management of servers, application components, databases, middleware, and supporting tools.
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, architecture, and application development teams to implement platform improvements and modernization initiatives.
  • Ensure environments remain aligned with enterprise standards for security, stability, and operational readiness.
  • Review vulnerability scan results, assess risk, and coordinate remediation efforts with appropriate technical teams.
  • Support deployment activities, release management processes, and production change implementation.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, and environment support runbooks.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications.
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux server administration.
  • Knowledge of patch management, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure maintenance practices.
  • Understanding of software deployment, release management, and configuration management processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting application, middleware, and infrastructure issues.
  • Familiarity with change management, governance, and operational controls in a regulated enterprise environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including participation in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, retrospectives, and release planning.
  • Proficiency with Jira for work management, sprint tracking, defect management, operational support activities, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with databases, middleware technologies, and application hosting platforms.
  • Experience supporting vulnerability management programs and security remediation efforts.
  • Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.

Pay range

$88,800.00 - $144,800.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
