Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.
- Build user interfaces leveraging various visualization technologies.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing software.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and pair programming sessions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and other engineers.
- Contribute to technical documentation and user guides.
- Learn and implement software engineering best practices and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Basic qualifications:- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
- Basic understanding of software development principles and data structures.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred skills:- Familiarity with at least one visualization framework (React.js, Angular.js, Node.js, et).
- Ability to manipulate and extract data with SQL/NOSQL queries.
- Experience with Databricks platform.
- Exposure to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) concepts.
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS and/or Azure).
Education:- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field) or equivalent experience.
Experience: - Less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Desired Certifications:The candidate may possess one or more of the following certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate
- Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE Programmer
- CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+)
- Software development methodology certification (e.g. SCRUM Master) highly desired.
- GitHub or GitLab Certifications
Additional Information:- This is a hybrid position, and the selected candidate will be required to periodically work at our Nightwing Location (Sterling, VA).
