We are seeking a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer to join our Commercial Lines IT team.
This position can be filled as a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Our ideal candidate will have experience with modern web and enterprise technologies, cloud services, & microservices architectures. As a Software Engineer, you will:
- Engage in the design, development, and implementation of new and existing programs or solutions.
- Demonstrate ownership over the quality of assigned tasks, preparing test scripts and conducting tests on both new and existing solutions.
- Engage in team delivery functions such as design reviews, code reviews, and scrum meetings.
- What it Takes:
- Associate Degree in Computer Science or related discipline; or equivalent related work experience. Bachelor Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience. 5 or more years of related work experience preferred.
- Demonstrated aptitude in one or more programming languages and software development concepts.
- Ability to critically evaluate multiple options to solve complex problems.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Guidewire, Java and Vue preferred.
- Values continuous learning and personal development.
- Enjoys working in a team focused and collaborative environment.
