Software Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL
Description:
Seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to support the Systems Simulation, Software, and Integration Directorate (S3I) in Huntsville, Alabama.
Responsibilities:
• Implement new features based on customer requirements
• Implement bug fixes found during development and integration testing
• Participate in daily scrum activities
• Participate in sprint planning, review, and demo activities
Required Skills:
• Experience with an object-oriented language (C#, Java, C++, etc.)
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Experience with software development tools - code editors, debuggers, code generators, and test tools
• Experience with or knowledge of modern software design and methodologies (design patterns, development lifecycle, etc.)
• Experience with or knowledge of Agile software development
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience with WPF/MVVM
• Experience with Java Swing
• Experience with Spring Framework
• Experience with Maven
• Experience with data-driven design
• Experience with distributed computing
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
• 3+ years of professional experience with software development
