Chipton-Ross is seeking 4 Software Engineer-Embedded 4's for a hybrid (remote/onsite) opportunity in Kent, WA.
Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- Active Top Secret Security Clearance is required for this position.
- 5+ years embedded programming experience with languages such as C, C++, Linux and/or PetaLinux.
- Experience with hardware-software integration.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESClient is seeking software developers to support code generation for highly embedded systems. Familiarity with C/C++, Linux or PetaLinux development required. Familiarity with CMake is preferred. Candidates should have experience with and knowledge of aerospace and/or electrical systems as well as hardware development and bring up. Seeking highly motivated self-starters capable of executing as part of a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team.
- Supports code generation for highly embedded systems.
- Supports development of broad, open-architecture approach.
- Works with multi-disciplinary team to rapidly prototype hardware solutions.
- Responsible for developing code and insuring proper execution on target processors.
- Works under general supervision.
Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- Experience with and knowledge of aerospace systems and/or electrical systems.
- Experience with CMake.
- Highly motivated self-starter capable of executing as part of a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team.
REQUIRED EDUCATIONMinimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
