Full Job Description
As a Software Engineer on the Roblox Studio team, you'll help build and shape the tools Roblox teams use to build the Roblox app, and that creators use to build their experiences. Our mission is to unify internal and external tooling into a single, best-in-class toolset that benefits everyone.
You Will
• Work on various internal and external tools for Roblox game developers
• Define architecture and implement reusable tooling frameworks
• Design and execute on the architecture and technical direction that will be the future of our application
• Own and deliver complex technical projects from the planning stage through execution
• Work cross functionally, across teams and technology platforms
• Participate in building the world's best professional application for massively multiplayer game development
You Have
• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, with a track record of delivering high-quality production code.
• Coding Proficiency: Strong programming skills in at least one modern language (e.g., C++, C#, Lua).
• Problem-Solving Skills: A solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms, with an aptitude for debugging complex issues.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Computer Science or a related engineering field.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
Annual Salary Range
$153,120-$196,750 USD
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
