Software Engineer

Chantilly, VA

Looking for a full stack developer supporting a backend development team focused on middleware and backend services.

Mandatory Skills:
  • Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elasticsearch (minimum 3 years), including performing schema updates; submitting Lucene queries; understanding how Solr/Elastic shards work; and tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, PySpark, Spark, and HBase (prefer at least two of the list)
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not JavaScript or Spring Boot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment to a production environment
  • College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree


Optional Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services
  • Demonstrated experience with Jira and GitHub
