Job Summary
The Software Engineer will support mission- and business-critical applications within a Corporate Security organization. The role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining software solutions across legal compliance, hazard monitoring, and physical security domains. The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack engineering experience, expertise in automated system integrations, application security, and modern development practices, with the ability to translate operational requirements into scalable production solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner directly with domain operators to translate complex security, hazard, and compliance requirements into technical specifications and software solutions.
• Build, scale, and maintain enterprise applications and databases using React, Node.js, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Leverage spec-driven development workflows and AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and deliver high-quality production code.
• Design, develop, and maintain system-to-system integrations connecting physical security hardware, third-party vendor APIs, and internal compliance platforms.
• Refactor and maintain existing C#.NET web services and APIs to support integration with modern frontend architectures.
• Execute DAST, SAST, and Open Source Security scans using tools such as OWASP ZAP and Fortify.
• Analyze and remediate application security vulnerabilities to support defense-in-depth security standards.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and system issues in high-availability environments.
• Support continuous improvement, automation, and modernization of enterprise security applications.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant professional work experience.
• 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience with React, Node.js, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Practical experience with spec-driven development and AI-assisted programming tools.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining complex system-to-system integrations and RESTful APIs.
• Experience executing security scans and resolving vulnerabilities using DAST, SAST, and Open Source Security tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and system integration troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and security-focused environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with C#.NET development, including web applications and APIs, for maintaining and modernizing legacy applications.
• Experience building or supporting software in high-performance and high-availability corporate security, compliance, or physical safety environments.
• Strong consultative and rapid-prototyping skills.
• Experience with field debugging in high-availability environments.
