Roles and ResponsibilitiesA qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:- Develop software for cutting edge satellite ground systems.
- Work with a team of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
Required Qualifications- A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Experience designing and developing object-oriented software using Java.
- Experience with Java multi-threading.
- An active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI security clearance is also acceptable. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience developing satellite planning and scheduling software.
- Software development lifecycle experience using the SAFe Agile methodology.
- Experience developing software using C++ and Python.
- Experience with microservices in an AWS environment using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Test Automation, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes.
- Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment- Normal office environment.

Salary at Castalia Systems is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, position knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $180,000.00 to $190,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Castalia Systems' total compensation package for employees.
