Key Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Scala and functional programming concepts.
• Experience with Scala frameworks such as Akka, Play Framework, and Spark.
• Solid understanding of the Java ecosystem and Java-Scala interoperability.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience working in big data, stream processing, and real-time data environments.
• Proven experience within the e-commerce domain.
• Strong expertise in modern frontend development, including frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience building responsive, high-performance user interfaces and customer-facing web applications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern software development practices.

Key Responsiblities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala and related technologies.
• Build and optimize data pipelines and real-time processing systems.
• Develop and consume APIs to support distributed, microservices-based architectures.
• Create and enhance modern frontend applications that deliver seamless user experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement end-to-end solutions.
• Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments.
• Ensure application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Contribute to high-performance applications supporting e-commerce, analytics, and data-intensive workloads.

Preferred Background

• Experience in e-commerce, fintech, analytics, or other high-transaction-volume environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, Spark Streaming, Akka Streams, or similar real-time processing frameworks

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $53,580 to $122,400

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
