JOB SUMMARY:

Speedway IT Data Management is seeking a software engineer with experience in data warehouse and MicroStrategy development/system admin. The candidate will be responsible for system admin functions for the MicroStrategy platform. They will also support data warehouse development initiatives.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Main responsibilities include report designing and development, and system admin support.
• The candidate will also build reports against our Teradata Database.
• The candidate will also help the Teradata team with design, build, and deployment of solutions in a Teradata based Data Warehouse environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 2+ years

YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: NA

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES:   MicroStrategy 2019 and any Teradata certifications

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• MicroStrategy 2019 or higher, MicroStrategy report design and development, MicroStrategy system admin support, and MicroStrategy NarrowCast and/or Distribution services. Teradata 15x or 16x design and build using Teradata utilities such as SQL, mload, bteq, fastexport, XML import & transformations.
• Outstanding verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate equally effectively with business and technical team members
• Excellent team skills
• Excellent written communications skills, Must be self-motivated working with a sense of urgency
• Experience working with a project manager or scrum master to formulate and use project plans and associated documents
• Experience with retail data (suppliers, products, promotions, coupons, specials, discounts, inventory, etc.) preferred but not required
• Experience with Microsoft C, C++, C#, .Net preferred but not required, Knowledge/understanding around big data integration and data analytics
• Foundation on statistical data modeling and visualization is a plus
