Key job responsibilities
- Design and build robust, scalable software systems that enhance product experiences, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers
- Own the complete lifecycle of software development and deployment-system design, implementation, testing, monitoring, and maintenance of production services at scale
- Develop scalable, automated solutions for complex technical challenges including distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, and user-facing applications across multiple business initiatives
- Write high-quality code that ensures engineering excellence in performance, reliability, and maintainability for critical system components
- Design and execute experiments and analyses to evaluate software solutions, ensuring data-driven optimization and measurable impact on product metrics and user experience
- Apply software engineering best practices, contribute technical insights to team discussions, and drive innovation in system architecture and development methodologies
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions that align with product objectives and user needs
- Create technical documentation and effectively communicate system designs, implementation details, and project outcomes to both technical teams and stakeholders
- Participate in code reviews, share knowledge with team members, and contribute to engineering standards that promote code quality and team effectiveness
- Stay current with advancements in software engineering, cloud technologies, and development tools-identifying opportunities to apply emerging technologies to solve real-world product challenges

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience working with GenAI-powered development tools and agentic AI assistants (e.g., code generation, AI-assisted debugging, automated testing, and documentation tools) to enhance software development productivity and code quality
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
