What You'll Be Doing
• Develop, deploy, maintain, and enhance software applications according to clinical study requirements and specifications.
• Design and implement integrations between data collection devices and project-specific backend databases.
• Participate in technical decision-making throughout the software development lifecycle for clinical trial data collection applications.
• Contribute to project specifications, development planning, estimation, and deployment scheduling activities.
• Develop complex client-specific software customizations in collaboration with cross-functional project teams.
• Perform peer code reviews and promote software quality, maintainability, and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Write clean, scalable, and reliable code while following established development standards and design patterns.
• Communicate project timelines, technical decisions, risks, and implementation considerations to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with Product Management, Design, Quality Assurance, Translation Services, and other functional teams.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues affecting application delivery, deployment, or production environments.
• Proactively identify technical risks, requirement gaps, inconsistencies, and dependencies, escalating concerns when appropriate.
• Support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives across teams to improve understanding of study development processes and technical capabilities.
• Continuously develop technical expertise through professional development and self-directed learning.
• Prioritize and manage multiple assignments effectively while meeting project deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Support team members by providing technical guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and collaboration on project initiatives.
• Adhere to all applicable Clario Standard Operating Procedures and software development practices.
What We Look For
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience developing web, mobile-web, or enterprise software applications.
• Proficiency in modern software development practices, including version control, testing, debugging, and code review processes.
• Experience integrating applications with databases, APIs, and backend systems.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and deployment processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully within cross-functional and global teams.
• Experience working in regulated industries, healthcare technology, or clinical research environments is preferred.
