Full Job Description
Do you love decomposing problems to develop products that impact millions of people around the world? Would you enjoy identifying, defining, and building software solutions that revolutionize how businesses operate?
The EKS team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Software Development Engineer II to build, deliver, and maintain complex products that delight our customers and raise our performance bar. You'll design fault-tolerant systems that run at massive scale as we continue to innovate best-in-class services and applications in the AWS Cloud.
Join the innovative team at Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) where we are focusing on the integration of Kubernetes with AWS through the AWS Controllers for Kubernetes (ACK). ACK enables users to define and utilize AWS service resources directly from Kubernetes, streamlining the management of cloud native applications. With ACK, managing supporting capabilities such as databases or message queues becomes 'kube-fied', enhancing the efficiency and scalability of Kubernetes workloads.
As a member of our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of containerized computing, enabling our customers to leverage the full potential of Kubernetes and AWS services seamlessly.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop new service controllers and ensure the upkeep of existing ones to facilitate AWS resources integration with Kubernetes.
- Enhance our code generation processes, testing infrastructure, and automation pipelines to streamline controller development, testing, and release procedures.
- Engage closely with our community and customers to gather insights and requirements and collaborating on the design and implementation of upcoming controllers and features.
- Build innovative tools and systems around our controllers to improve the overall user experience, simplifying AWS resource management within Kubernetes environments.
