What does a successful Software Development Engineer, Conversion Solutions do at Fiserv?
A successful Senior Software Development Engineer, Conversion Solutions delivers high-quality software that supports complex and highly visible CheckFree Next, RXP and CheckFree Small Business conversion initiatives. This role serves as a technical expert, partnering across teams to design, build, maintain and improve applications that align with client needs and business goals. The role also helps drive successful implementations, supports migration efforts and strengthens team performance through technical leadership and mentoring.

What you will do?
  • Lead the design, development and implementation of software applications that support conversion initiatives and business goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for high-impact client solutions.
  • Perform coding, testing and debugging to deliver high-quality applications with strong performance and reliability.
  • Maintain and enhance existing codebases while leading peer reviews and supporting complex migration and implementation efforts.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance as a subject matter expert to build team capability and execution strength.


What you must have?
  • 4+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Java, C, C#, C++ or similar programming languages.
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL databases and 2+ years of experience with AWS, Azure or GCP services.
  • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, plus 2+ years of experience working in Agile environments.


What would be nice to have?
  • Experience supporting 2 or more complex client implementations or migration initiatives.
  • Experience contributing to programs with measurable business impact, such as implementations tied to $2.2M+ in realized value.
  • 1+ year of experience in the financial services industry.
